The brand has been haunted by reliabiliy issues for decades and the way I see it is that if their new plan is to speed up the development of new products then so too will probably be the creation of even more issues the cars will have.

Go try to trade in or sell a TDI. Then you’ll understand our frustration. We paid a premium for a vehicle that was known to have high resale value. Now it is the exact opposite.

I told Doug he may need to go older on this one, maybe ‘50s or ‘60s. But what’s interesting enough to draw an audience for a whole year? This is my top suggestion at the moment:

An Ariel Atom. After the completely sensible and reasonable Ferrari 360 and Nissan Skyline GT-R, you need something absurd and ridiculous. What better way to do that lose every single body panel. It will make your neighbors question your sanity and a base one can be had new for $50k. Not sure about used.

At this point, probably somewhere between “never” and “LOL.”

Can confirm. We took our tdi in over the weekend to see if they are willing to do anything, and the short answer is no. They absolutely didn’t even try to keep us in a VW, unless it was a 15’. And even then, they weren’t trying very hard. We are most likely done with them.
