I heard a well known chef say oil will go rancid eventually. So he cleans his pans every day with soap. Since then I started doing the same but mostly scrubbing very lightly trying to leave the seasoning alone. My pan is slick and perfect and I never have to reseason it!. Maybe it was seasoned enough in the beginning…
