She's accomplished what she wanted. Which is to make you feel bad. Recognize that, because it'll help you see that what just happened had little to do with you and what you weigh or look like, but how she feels about herself and how she has to function in the world.

That made me LOL.

A starving man has a different idea of plenty (desperate people clutch at anything).

Because she is a narcissist. If she lived in a studio on York Avenue like most almost-broke 27 year olds, she wouldn't be SPECIAL. MOVIE STARS like Lindsay live in gigantic duplex apartments in SoHo!

Yes to all of this.

She's on tiptoe the whole time. The thought of it makes me tired.

Meh. She was thin to start, barely gained any chub during, and she has help.

Not feeling that red outfit at all. It looks like a costume.

Many times, in the Gawkerverse, there are stories about pitiful situations, and there's always some person who's all "I'd give that person/dog/cat a few bucks! Is there a Kickstarter fund? Someone start a fund!"

Not necessarily. My mother is 70, and she wasn't trained to be that way. And my 70 year old MIL is a tough, independent woman, too. Many women from that generation are smart and tough, and had the added benefit of the women's movement. Even women who might have looked like meek housewives were having dangerous

Isn't that a pisser? I never noticed how much sugar plain old MILK has. I just eat cottage cheese now, because at least it has the protein and calcium and a lot less sugar.

Even when a talk show host *does* interview a guest, it's pre-planned and sanitized. And then the "surprise" chances they give the celeb to trot out a humble-brag: "So I hear that you had a run-in with a coyote..." "So I hear that you're a pretty good drummer..." bleccch.

THANK YOU for summing it up in one sentence. I was thinking it but couldn't put it so succinctly.

And if the state HAD seized the chimp, she would have been on the bandwagon for his release.

She should sue herself, for hanging out with a wild animal and not anticipating that she could be attacked.

Team Jeannette!

Environment definitely has a huge impact, no doubt. But people are born with their own personalities, too.

Something I give Lindsay credit for: she hasn't dragged a child into her dysfunction.

Hey, what's wrong with kombucha and yoga? I partake in both. Of course, my kids are fully vaccinated...

Especially since there are. Few authorities in this very thread who don't agree on the proper and correct terminology! HERE! At the bastion of political correctness!
