Hell, i live in southern NJ and can think of 5 houses and/or trucks flying the traitors’ banner within a 2 mile radius.
Because this is the internet and everyone is very loving and trusting here, I’m going to come clean: I am a firefighter and, having just gotten my EVOC license and been cleared to drive, I just last week distinguished myself by driving the light rescue the wrong direction to go to a call.

I pledge allegiance to a piece of cloth, and, oh yeah, the country (very specifically a *republic*) for which it’s being a proxy...one nation (with all kinds of states rights that contradict each other), invisible (unless you’re some special kind of southerner), with liberty (as long as you do what doesn’t offend me),…
“You will love this country or I, an employee of the government, will assault you until you do.”
It’s really creepy. We didn’t do the pledge past elementary school, and I’m not sure if that’s unusual. I remember how rote and zombie-like it was.
what difference does it make if its based on religious or political beliefs? we do not live under a dictatorship, and this kid has every right to participate or not. he already has the strength and courage to be a future leader of this country.

Or that when asked I’d explain that only fascists try to get children to pledge their lives to a piece of cloth for a country owned by rich white men. My parents were radicals. Or maybe that I…
People who demand respect or obedience to symbols or the rote chanting of words don’t really understand the whole point of the American Revolution. This is a brave little boy exercising his rights as as an American.
lmfao thanks for the free entertainment sweetheart :*
Because Kaep started the movement. Punishing all the players that protest now would be harmful to the NFL, but they can use Kaep as an example to future rabble rousers that they need to know their place
Real talk. What is Kaepernick putting in his hair? I need to know!
It wasn’t until my fifth or sixth time in New York City as an adult that I realized why it always felt 10 degrees…
when they announced his name, i spent 2 whole days beign unable to fully concentrate because i kept writing bohemian rhapsody parody lyrics in my head. never fully coalesced in a full parody but some good limes were “scaramucci, scaramucci, can you do the trumps scandal” and “nothing really matters, anyone can see,…
Feet are gross. Everyone’s feet. Salma Hayek, Gabby Union, Amy Pohler, doesn’t matter. Feet are icky.
