This is proof that there’s no rule that will work for everyone. I wouldn’t respond positively if someone said I looked happy lol, but I’d be fine with a woman complimenting my clothes/dress.

I work retail and I love when guests are truly appreciative. And when they tell me to have a good day, too lol. Such a small thing, but a lot of people say thanks and walk away haha.
I use veet for the lineup and a beard trimmer for the rest. I keep some of those eyebrow razors on hand for when I inevitably miss a spot with the veet, though. Plus the eyebrow razor gives nice straight edges pretty easily.
