No problem. I was actually a combat engineer in the Marines, so I'm intimately familiar with that heavy bastard haha.

APOBS is actually not specifically for use in civilian areas. It's used to clear areas where there are suspected anti-personnel mines as opposed to anti-tank mines. It's also for clearing obstacles like barb wire and the like. It's all in the name, Anti-Personnel Obstacle Breaching System.
I was a combat engineer in the Marines. We definitely used MCLC's or line charges as we generally called them. I heard from very credible sources that we used a couple in Fallujah. It would have been used specifically as a weapon though. Fallujah wasn't heavily mined but a number of the buildings were…
Honestly to me it looked like the cop was just asking them to cut it out. It didn't really look like he 'bitched out'. He didn't stay behind them with his lights or anything he just got the guys attention and motioned, what looked to me, for him to just tone it down. If he really wanted to, he could have called…
I think I just realized why this movie doesn't get mentioned more often. It's too good, we just can't handle the feels.
If only something existed in the Batman universe that could be a one word substitute for, "batmobile of the skies"......
1995 GMC Safari just ticked over to 240,000 and it's running better than ever.
Look for imperfect items. The Home Depot is chalked full of "scratch & dent" items. From appliances, to doors, to tools, to outdoor garden decor, if you seek out these imperfect items in many cases you can successfully get a 10-15% discount. Simply point out the flaws to an associate who works in that particular…
The MRAP was developed explicity for the threat of IED's. It is an effective vehicle for convoys on relatively smooth terrain with a high threat of an attack coming from underneath. If we were to get into another war against an insurgency that used those same tactics then the MRAP's would be great. Otherwise they…
With a minimal amount of hardware any vehicle can be armed. So Toyota pickups are basically small tanks. They're definitely built more like tanks than an MRAP, ask Top Gear.
Sure, it's definitely a higher number than I thought but I'm just saying it can't really be classified as a myth when, according to that study, the majority of the population are positional sleepers. Surprising statistic, definitely, mythical status, not so much. Myth in this context would be defined as, "a widely…
I agree that it's a significant portion. I'm just saying that it can't really be considered a myth, (that changing position stops snoring) when in fact, changing position does stop snoring for the majority of the population, according to that study.
So why is this one on here then. If 46% of snorers were non-positional then that should mean that 54% of snorers were positional. If the majority is positional then in most cases rolling over does stop snoring.
Surprised nobody beat me to this, also sorry in advance, but.......that's what she said
I've got some simpler math as to why bigger bullets are deadlier. 110-grain .257 Weatherby mag carrying around 2000 ft-lbs. 800-grain .50 BMG carrying around 15000 ft-lbs. No replacement for displacement. Seriously though, I think that is a bit of a misleading title. Deadlier, not really. More efficient,…
Yeah they go crazy after they hit something. Whenever we would go to the rifle range in the Marines half of us had to work in the pits running targets up and down. I'd say about 1 in every 20 rounds or so would impact the ground about 20-50 feet past the target regardless of which yard line they were firing from. …

This article sure stirred up a lot of feels. I miss my war dogs. Getting real dusty in here.
