My biggest issue with SAO season 2 was the pacing. There was a few episodes of just exposition and absolutely no plot development. It was clear that some episodes were developed to fill in time so the season could fill up the required 14 episodes.

They could at least go Diablo 3's route with trading and allow you to trade items with whoever was in your party when the item dropped.
