Since, as we saw, once the Observers found the door to the pocket universe it was completely unsecured, plus the kid he hid there has disappeared (so the tapes could have walked away, too), and time works differently there along with the whole only-stuff-recorded-in-each-universe-shows-up-in-each-universe weirdness, I

I grew up in Wisconsin, which had its only execution in 1852 then banned it, so it always kind of throws me when they talk about a state having the death penalty except, like, Texas or Alabama and such.  Watching the episode, I kept thinking, Oregon has the death penalty?  But I thought they were a cool state?

It is.  In one of the first episodes, they opened a car door by whacking at it repeatedly with a Haligan bar (our fancy crow bar thing).  It was hilarious.

It is shockingly close to real dialogue.  Exchange Hot Fire Chief for Hot Fire Lieutenant and it is actual plotline.

@Scrawler2:disqus Copper is watchable, if slightly confusing because 90% of the male actors look exactly alike.

I really don't think Sasha Baron-Cohen was Hughley's model, or inspiration, or aspiration.  It's possible D.L.'s never even heard of him.  This was much more of a direct descendent of Michael Moore's TV Nation in both tone and content.

It bothered me throughout that he talked only of black men being endangered.  If black women aren't endangered, and we as a society continue to think in terms of the one-drop rule, it doesn't seem as though black men could ever die out.

To my amusement, when I was in 8th grade, my local football team, the Green Bay Packers, had a player by that name.  He only lasted a season or two, but every time the announcers had to say his name, my entire middle school tingled with delight.

Too funny, because, as someone who still hasn't managed to quit the show, I know that this week's plot was "serial killer who chops off only right legs, then reattaches them to the subsequent victim".  No, really.

It's on Hulu!
