YES! I do that every once in a while and the dead giveaway is that there are no sex scenes. Any allusion to sex is very vague and then later in the book someone is inevitably "with child".

Where on earth are you getting your produce? Here (FTL) grapes are $3/lb, bell peppers are 2-4$ depending on the color, etc. Fresh produce is not cheap, and preserved produce has other additives, which may or may not include animal products.

The problem is going to be that people who can't afford to pay their water bill probably also can't afford to throw out all the perishables in their pantry and replace them with vegan products, many of which are very expensive and can only be purchased at Whole Foods-like shops.

That is a crazy low standard for a scholarship! Do most people get them?
