I’m sorry. I live in Michigan and I love it here. But we are gerrymandered to shit so we are mostly represented by Republicans. Add that to the fact that the assholes yelling loudest are the voices you hear, it makes us seem like a pretty hateful region.

Yeah but you probably married someone who has their own weird baggage. Everyone does and every marriage is a gamble. Unless on of the participants is a literal child, I think we should make a strong effort not to judge (not saying you are!).
