I believe most manufacturers do this to lower buyers' insurance costs. Two seaters are more expensive to insure than 2+2s or 4 seaters
My daughter goes to boarding school in this area and I would have to agree. Some of the best country roads I have ever driven? I actually prefer to avoid the major highways and drive rt 7 for as far as it will take me. Besides the great drive it gets me close to Lime Rock
Pretty much any older BMW with Euro bumpers is worth that price to me, NP I say.
Reading the comments from my fellow Jalops just make the days go by
There can only be one, the McLaren F1
They aren't all that rare, you just have to know where to look, www.s14.net
Man, do I miss Dave Chappelle
I'm a die hard BMW man and I have one of these (1989 Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance). It's not fun to drive in the same way my E46 or my E30 M3 are, but you hit the nail on the head. On a road trip, they're hard to beat. There is a certain comfort to them that makes driving enjoyable. Trying to park them in a major…
For the money, you could either have a super nice E30 M3 or a pretty clean E30 325(w/ plastic bumpers) and a pretty clean 2002. With those Bimmer options this is nothing but crack.
One glaring omission. The Oldsmobile diesel of the 80's
Forward visibility should be nice and wavy with all that heat coming out of the hood. Crackpipe for sure.
@CJinSD: They certainly were. my best friend in high school had a conv't with the base engine, poor dude. Great looking car for the time, but it's 0-60 time could be clocked with an hour glass
@ieatbabies: That would be JoHn Voight. Not Angelina's father, just some dude named John
I wonder if Unique Autosports has anything to do with this
@turbo1168: Totally agree. IMO the best chassis BMW had engineered since the E30
My e30 M3 is at the mechanic getting some much needed suspension work. That is what I usually drive on the weekends. I'll make do driving my daily driver e46 on some nice back roads Sunday morning, nothing special, but not the same as with a screaming S14
@AV6Spd: Those 740 Turbos are pretty nice cars. My mom bought one brand new in '88. I remember on the test drive the salesman hit the gas and feeling the acceleration I thought to myself "my parents have GOT to buy this car". Great ride with the tightest turning circle I've ever experienced. You could almost u-turn…
