I really think I'm fortunate to be at a place in my media consumption where I'm enjoying slow stuff again. On a different weekend I could see myself not having the time or patience to plod along with the series.

Can't nobody fault a good Zing, my compadre!

Cool, this is what I'd remembered/understood. I just wonder if they'll play the "black" (again, hate limited terminology available to me) albino boy as someone who deserves to live or not (according to a Nazi). It may be a moot point and never even come up, of course.

Whoops — Thank you! Should be fixed now

Actually, there's some solid, diverse casting!!

Sorry there wasn't really clarity on episode amounts — There's only 10 eps of High Castle and I wanted to save the bulk for the weekend.

They said it was a loose adaption so I wonder!

oh my GOD I'm going to have to start Command-F'ing these for "Tower" before they're published. I've never not been able to mess that up.

:/

I actually prefer to watch dramas (or close-to-dramas) this way! But I've always had an obsessive personality: If I start reading a book I don't stop until it's done…if i put it down I tend to lose interest or forget about it.

That's why he didn't like Dark Knight Rises though — he hated the secret-Talia thing. Again, though, I am like very unsure if he's right about Batman but I just thought it was an interesting example of something that would bug me (if true).

But I'm not talking about a GOOD twist (although my standard for that is probably higher than most) — I'm talking about the fact that there's nothing clever in lying or withholding information, you have to do something more with it. But I was ready and willing to see what they did with it. Then they gave me a

Yeah I was a little confused about this— couldn't tell if she was meant to be the same person or if the "background" cast were like play-style and could be more than one part. Typing this out I realize that sounds very stupid of me.

Whoopsies!!! What gifts the English language can give to us!!

I believe Mark Duplass brought it up in this episode.

Whoops —that's some colloquialism sneaking through. I wrote it like that for emphasis/in a particular vernacular as a stylistic choice but I can see how it just comes across as confusing.

Thanks for the feedback, emisan! I'm always open to ways in which my responses can be improved to include more derision or condescension!

Let me know how/what you'd like me to improve on! Fresh Off The Boat is a little difficult for me since I have to wait to watch it the next morning and try to get the review up quickly, so apologies for typos or poor sentence structuring— I will try to be more diligent in the future.

"Oh, I don't eat them — that's disgusting"
