Don’t forget that the most advanced firearm the Founders had was a muzzleloading flintlock musket. An AR-15 with a drum mag would be like a WMD to them, and clearly not part of their original intent.

Somehow I imagine her memory of the constitution also gets a little fuzzy when it comes to the “well-regulated militia” part of those gun rights.

It’s just an excuse they use to justify twisting the law to support their regressive beliefs. They don't really mean it, if that helps (it doesn't).

This was my first thought, too. She’d turn into the biggest victim on the planet if somebody called her the c-word at work, only to have the HR rep tell her that she’d need more evidence to prove it was a hostile workplace for women.

Not only that, but they understood the Constitution could change with the times, so they added the ability to amend it.

So the use of racial slurs doesn’t denote hostility? So we’re just exchanging ideas right? It’s all merely an argument. A mere difference of opinion that has no affect on how you feel about a situation correct?

“That means that I interpret the Constitution as a law...I understand it to have the meaning that it had at the time people ratified it. That meaning doesn’t change over time and it’s not up to me to update it or infuse my policy views into it,”

The dude that creates fakes of Lizardo’s account has started making fake accounts of you:

Those fucking ‘Murica uggs are the shit icing on the incel cake.

Congratulations America!

Why you would make a list like this and not make it specifically for the purpose of putting The Long Kiss Goodnight at the top of it is beyond me. It’s not a great movie, because it’s written by Shane Black, and follows the Shane Black pattern of having some great scenes paired with some real head-scratchers (see

I’ll still defend Cutthroat Island tooth and nail. It was a childhood favorite. Yeah, it has flaws (the biggest one being Matthew Modine), but it’s also a pirate movie centers on a female captain and with a ton of spectacular practical effects. Add a dash of Frank Langela and some striking supporting actors as

“Good morning, Raymond.”

I think we are going to have to settle this in Fan-derDome: 2 Fan enter, 1 Fan leave;)

Long Kiss Goodnight is such a favorite of mine. The lines are just excellent and everything about it works.

Die Hard 2 is a good sequel with some vicious action sequences, but overall 3 is the better movie imo. The actor chemistry is stronger, the villain performances are more memorable and the set pieces are grander and more varied. John Amos’s portrayal of a villainous henchman is stand out in 2 — no one expected the dad

In my mind, The Long Kiss Goodnight is easily Harlin -and, as you rightly point out, Geena Davis’- best collaboration and, going by this list, the film that I’d put at number 1, much as I also like the two that “beat” it.

The Long Kiss Goodnight deserves its cult status as an action blockbuster, but Geena Davis’s performance as Charly Baltimore is truly iconic. Her physicality, dead pan humor and emotional nuance put her in the top echelon of action stars with one role. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see more of this aspect of her

Yet, you’re here to prove I am right.

Thanks.

God I hate the founding fathers bs they always trot out. Conveniently ignoring the fact that most of the supporters knew slavery was wrong and multiple members of the convention that drafted our constitution opposed it. In these idiots minds nobody thought slavery was bad till after it was half abolished.
