I’m reviewing the episode, the same way I’d review any episode of television or film. For Bake Off eps broadly speaking it comes down how exciting is the episode, was any of it very funny or moving or sad, were the challenges interesting ones, was there a great triumph or a devastating defeat. Was it a good episode

As someone deeply broken when it comes to expectations of verisimilitude, my general rule on this is that it’s fine not to be entirely realistic as long as the streamlining of reality makes the story more effective.

As was underlined last season with the young Scottish chap who’d been watching this show a good chunk of his entire life and made Paul seemingly age two decades in the span of a two-second realization, at this point people should really know what to expect some weeks. Has there ever been a contestant who has done a

GBBO has gotten so big everyone involved is just so self-aware. Ain’t like the early seasons where it was charming and intimate.

And when they ran out of ideas for showstoppers, they decided to turn the show into an engineering show as well.

No! He must never know!

It’s possible that Logan told Kendall what to do, but there’s NO WAY Logan took the chance that “broken” Kendall would decide on his own to do what Logan actually wanted.

She’s not wrong though. It wouldn’t be them doing the harassment themselves. Just an army of incel dipshits doing it on their own initiative.  Definitely leveraging it, but it was somewhat protective if you think about it, as fucked up as that may be.

Yeah, these reviews bend over backwards to defend Shiv. She threatens the woman with harassment unless she gives in. Couching it in maybes is not a defense. That was probably the most irredeemable act that Shiv has done in this show. That was straight up 4chan doxxing bullying. I’m perplexed how that was overlooked.

In S1 “Lifeboats,” Kendall admonishes Stewie for stealing a pastry, “Dude, we’re not at Buckley anymore.” Buckley is a prestigious prep school: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckley_School_(New_York_City)

In the following episode, when everyone is snickering at Kendall for planning to tell jokes, he snarks back that he

I don’t think Hugo’s title is “Senior Vice President of Comms, Parks, and Cruises” (i.e. SVP in charge of the company’s communications and its parks and cruises)

Do we know Romeros eventually decay and die? I think so but I can’t even remember, the mythology was such an afterthought in this show it’s positively maddening.

Oh boy. That has to be the most convoluted way to deliver a complete happy ending with a pretty ribbon and cherry on top. Did everyone really have to think their significant other was dead for a minute? We didn’t even see the moment Ravi found out Peyton was alive.

Not only do I miss Peyton, but all the world building is falling flat for me. I have a hard time believing that there are not more Americans with political power who would view zombies as victims and be supportive of not destroying a valuable port city. A military contractor (inherently disliked) poisoned people.

Peyton’s back, but she doesn’t get more to do in this episode than watch the premiere of Hi, Zombie (...) and stand around (...) before taking all the officials to lunch.

Surprise twin? Secret parentage? Unforgiving estranged brother? “I’m your daughter”? WTF is this, a third-rate soap opera now? I swear during the whole conversation with Liv’s mother, even the lighting seemed suddenly bad, to the point that I wondered if they were doing a spoof based on a brain or something.

It does seem like it could be broad and obvious (though I think this show is smart enough to do it right) and it would be easy to make a Trump analogy.. But I think Connor actually resembles George W Bush.

I mean, it’s not exactly fantasy for a rich guy with no skills, no intelligence, and no experience to get elected because he says crazy shit confidently that idiots identify with and has a media/party/international conspiracy apparatus behind him.
