Yeah, depending on how self-deprecating I feel like being, I either go along with the story of how great public transportation is in Boston or make a joke about the truth.

I have a lot of people I need to send this to, right now... it's so hard to make people understand why I've hesitated for so long. I literally could have been the author of this - these are exactly my fears in sharp focus; thanks for sharing it, Kate.
