It’s the same reason they don’t like it when athletes take performance enhancing drugs. I get that this darker side is one thing. But glitching to get on to the top of leaderboards, like jump rope, seems more like cheating others out of fun.
I guess it is just a matter of semantics. If someone told me they counted to 100, but they skipped numbers 80-99, I’m not sure I could agree that they actually counted to a hundred.
But if you’re skipping the contents of the game, you’re not really playing it, are you?
How about just playing through the level and not cheating your way through the whole thing if you’re not a speed runner. Took me more than 20 tries but did it. And got the 100 jump rope moon on the first try.
Zero Dawn didn’t do anything special it was just another open world game.
