I actually loved the song at the time. But I was 16 and that earns me a "teenager" get out of jail free card. I'd have no such excuse now. Retrospectively, its an amazingly derivitive and uncreative piece of music.

Star trek II was actually a great film, ultra dated looking as it is. The problem was, the way Khan was used in the JJ film was really ham fisted, and the references just ended up annoying the trekkie fans JJ was trying to impress. I mean if II didn't exist, it would have made it a lot more enjoyable, but for trekkies…

Actually if you want a spacefaring thing with pretty decent class politics , there is a japanese anime called "Planettes", a fairly "hard" sci-fi (Ie no robots or any silly guff like that) set about 50-60 years from now as man are finally starting to colonize the moon, about the plights of space-debris cleaners…
