Vive does not mean “yay me” though, it’s got a different connotation than that. It means ‘long live’, wishing for something to persevere.

Regardless, after going through what they did, I couldn’t care less if they did say YAY EODM. They can say whatever they need to to get through this horrible trauma.

The terrorists were trying to kill them as well as their fans, so it’s not exactly a shallow sentiment; they earned it.

why not, though? they survived something horrible happening to their band that will likely change them forever. how much guilt and pain must be racked up after seeing their friends and their fans slaughtered before their eyes? I thought it was a nice way of saying that the band will persevere through this hard time,…
