I’d say polygamy is a step up from what Nick is doing. Polygamy involves commitment, albeit to more than one partner, its commitment to multiple adults that tend to reside in the same home - or same vicinity - to create a family unit. Nick isn’t doing that, he is literally a sperm donor.
