I have an old can of Off Deep Woods 40% Deet. Do they even make it anymore with that high of concentration? I would imagine it is better than the 25% equivalent. I also have the lemon eucalyptus which is great on day hikes if I don’t want to smell terrible afterwards or if I’m using it on my kid. Both seem to work

Did Timothy start writing for PM after leaving the Lifehacker workshop sub blog? Just noticed the link he was the author.

You know, I’ve heard great things about the CeraVe products. I spent some time on /r/skincareaddict on Reddit and that is pretty much the go-to recommended brand by everyone. I was thinking about trying out some of their gel moisturizer which apparently is highly recommended for people with oily and acne prone skin.

I’ve had Sprint for maybe 10 years now. They have really gone down hill lately. My work phone is through AT&T, and it’s been great. Never had issues anywhere I travel. I can’t say the same for Verizon. Verizon dropped calls constantly, and that was after 3 different phones! Must be the area that I’m in because

I spent MONTHS trying to get my face care routine down.

I just found this article and noticed it was pretty old, but wow after watching that video I realized that I have the EXACT same Black and Decker corded drill! That thing is about as old as I am but it still works! Was just browsing through these articles today looking for projects to organize my garage. I’ll have to

I live in zone 5a, so it gets very cold here in the winter time. In fact, we just had snow this weekend and it is the middle of May. So yeah, I highly doubt I can grow anything year round. I’m just glad I don’t live in North Dakota or Montana. Talk about extreme temperatures. I need to move South.

Interesting. I just went to update the firmware on my TP-Link router last week and there was a section at the bottom of the page specifically addressing opensource firmware such as DD-WRT. They didn’t specifically say it was impossible, but that the warranty simply does not cover support for it. In fact, they almost

Sunsetting Sunrise? How perfect is that.

I’ve been using ES File Explorer for years and love it. I always download the ES Chromecast extension as well, which is self explanatory. It’s great. Looks like Solid Explorer also has this feature built in so that is good to know.

Is this considered journalism these days? I have no idea what I just read.

Lucky me I found the part on ebay for $60. So it will keep goin hopefully for a while yet.

My heat exchanger is still working the last time a guy was out to do maintenance on my furnace. I had problems with one of the controllers, which was an electrical problem from one of the wires connected to the wiring harness coming loose just from old age and drying out over time. He thought I could get another

It was an official “digitally signed” driver too! For a Saitek keyboard that isn’t really that old! I bought it in 2009 ish if I remember correctly and I’ve never had a problem. I knew the keyboard worked because I could use it in BIOS and during bootup to get to boot menu with no problems. Before Windows 7 I had a

I just upgraded to Windows 10 last weekend. Initially, my USB keyboard was not working for some really odd reason. It found the driver, but it said the driver was from before Windows 95 and not compatible. I don’t think USB existed before Windows 95, but whatever. Apparently Microsoft knows best and my USB keyboard

My last job I was at I wanted a specific amount, and they wouldn’t offer me any more than 8k less than what I actually wanted. Trying to meet somewhere in the middle, they still would not budge. I tried to get more paid time off out of it instead, but they said you only get 5 hours a month accrued. Which works out to

My furnace is 22 years old. I guess it has outlived the normal life expectancy. It is probably going to die soon but I hope not. On the other hand, my washing machine is about 10 years old and needs to be replaced as well. Funny how everything seems to break right around the same time when you buy a new house.

Great advice thanks for the recommendations. I’ll have to try out that retinol that you mentioned. I’ve been following some people on youtube that have some good advice and also reddit seems to be a wealth of information. I have started using a spot treatment of 2% salasyllic acid during the day and at night around my

The last doctor I went to that uses “modern technology” said “hmmm...lets check this out on Web MD and see what they say” ....ummm... bye.

I’ve actually used the screwdriver-through-an-oil-filter trick before. I had an old VW Passat that I did the first oil change on after buying it and the old oil filter was stuck on extremely tight and I couldn’t move it at all. Of course this car used the largest oil filter I’ve ever seen, so my oil filter wrench
