It’s all great in theory, but I’d rather have control over my own servers and my own data. Sometimes privacy is important and control over not having everything “connected” all the time is desirable. For situations like backing up my photos on my phone? Sure, the “cloud” is great for that!

Ok, so I have an older Ipad 2, which isn’t made anymore obviously, in fact Apple doesn’t even sell anything older than the Air2 anymore from what I understand. Should I sell on Craigslist now and hope to come away with a decent amount to cover a new Ipad air 2? Or should I just keep this since it pretty much does

Oh yes, I am well aware of that! I only ever plant mint in pots. That way I can take it inside in the winter time and still have Mojitos :)

I’m planting basil, oregano, mint, and a bunch of other herbs pretty soon hopefully. I started peppers and tomatoes indoors a few weeks ago since we just had frost again a couple nights ago, so there is still a risk of them dying yet. I need to move further south.

My carry-on bag of choice didn’t make the list, but I have an older Samsonite 4 wheeled soft-sided carry-on that is just the perfect size for up to 2 weeks of clothing with room to spare. All 4 wheels swivel in all directions, and I’ve had it for about 10 years and it looks just as good as the day I got it.

It’s true. Living in the midwest working in the tech sector with large amounts of certifications and management experience nets most of my friends in the industry anywhere from 55-75k a year; whereas I had a friend doing the same job he was previously doing move out to the west coast and he’s now making 100k a year

And it really isn’t impossible to do on a Subaru like they say. I have a Subaru and I changed the spark plugs in less time it took me to change the brakes.

I have a Subaru and I replaced the spark plugs myself. It isn’t that difficult nor impossible. Just remove the battery and the air intake and use an extension connected to a torque wrench and you are all set. Took me less time to change my spark plugs than to do the brakes actually just because the spark plugs weren’t

Thanks, I didn’t know that. I’ll check that out!

As long as the product you are looking for doesn’t contain any synthetic or plastic beads for the mechanical scrubbing action. Look for something natural and biodegradable. A lot of products have charcoal or sand in it. These are perfectly safe.

I just started following that sub last week. Haven’t had time to read through it yet. I used to only rinse and scrub my face with water in the shower, but that didn’t work very well and I had to rinse my face with water about 4-5 times a day just to keep the oil production down. My glasses were constantly falling off

This stuff is a bit too harsh to use on a daily basis. You should only use a “scrub” once or twice a week at most. For an every day cleanser I prefer something that is just a basic cleanser with no abrasives in it.

Ah you guys are late to this news, I just flew Southwest and booked 3 weeks ago and I paid the full $30 for early bird check-in. Can confirm this is already in effect. It’s still not bad since I get my bag checked for free, and I avoid the mad rush of their “herd” boarding usually.

If my commute is 30 minutes, do I fall into the 76% of respondents or the 18%?

Judging by the length of that dude’s shorts and the age of the BMW, was this from 1996?

Definitely seems handy for a few very particular situations. I wouldn’t trust this to work on a really stuck or rusted nut. The PVC would crack before you can apply enough torque to get the nut to turn.

I don’t need to act like I’m broke to have this mentality! I live it!

That all depends on placement of the stab. Slicing will create much larger wounds, cause rapid blood loss over a larger area, cut tendons, muscles, ligaments, sever arteries. Granted, I wouldn’t want to experience ANY of those things. If you get stabbed in a vital organ, throat, eye, or neck, it’s game over, provided

Knives are not primarily for puncturing. Think about the common kitchen knife. What do you use it for? Slicing. This is exactly what a knife was designed to do. Cutting and slicing. It is most efficient in that manner. Of course, people do try to thrust it into bodies, but that isn’t doing a whole lot other than

Out of all the hundreds of comments on this post, this one is the most true. Keep your head up and be aware of your surroundings and you will avoid 99.9% of trouble that is around you because you will SEE it coming! If and when you have to fight, keep distance, and be prepared to fight until the threat stops. So many
