All these tips are brilliant! More videos like these please!
I once got pulled over by an unmarked police car, and had my radar detector stuck to my windshield but it was off (I wasn't pulled over for speeding but a missing front plate and got a warning). The officer actually mentioned it to me and said "hey you have a radar detector, you should really use that thing!"…
Lincoln Towncar, or Lincoln Continental, Mercury Grand Marquis, really any "land yacht" that is too long and too wide to even think about fitting down a skinny European inner city road.
I believe this is also true for me. Contacts act like a shield to onions! Another option is to chill then onions in the fridge just before cutting them.
I am loving the sketches Adam! Envelope smiling holding hands made my day.
Subaru Impreza or Legacy. Both get good gas mileage, decently comfortable interior, fun to drive with enough power to pass and merge, awd so you know it will be good in bad weather i.e. rain, snow, ice, and Subaru has excellent reliability with low total cost of ownership and low maintenance costs.
HAHAHA I love the youparklikeanasshole.com section of the site for "hatemail" people ranting and raving about receiving notices is just hilarity.
What OS are you running? If it isn't Windows 7, I'd look at upgrading XP or Vista to 7. That seems to help significantly with all around performance. Also look at how much RAM you have. For 3D applications like you mentioned, I am guessing a lot of RAM would be a huge plus for rendering since all those applications…
You don't need a whole lot of storage for just an OS and a few base applications. I have a 90GB OCZ SSD that has Windows 7 loaded on it, photoshop, and a few other necessary commonly used apps. All the other apps and games I install on my slower and much cheaper per-GB 1TB traditional drive.
I've used a hard drive magnet in the past. It actually works! It will stick to the wall where the drywall screws are located.
Wow, someone is prepared for anything! Impressive. I also keep a Leatherman Kick in my backpack, along with a firesteel, small mag light, bottle of water, roll of duct tape, and a ziplock bag with various sizes of zip ties. I carry the backpack with me every day at work so I'm ready to go with whatever comes my way. I…
The main thing to do is always be prepared and always have a plan. One thing I always carry with me is a knife. It is such a versatile tool that can be used for many things from building shelter, harvesting and preparing food, protection, and of course cutting things.
To "turn into a skid" this basically means to turn in the same direction as the skid. It really just takes a bit of practice in an unplowed icy a (and empty) parking lot. Practice by inducing a skid in a safe area with no cars around, and just work the steering wheel in both direction to get a feel of your tires…
The main takeaway is this. Just be upfront and honest with them. And hope they can be respectful back.
Living in Wisconsin, SAD is something difficult I have to deal with every year. The previous winter was a lot less stressful than years past for me due to several factors. I changed jobs and I am now a lot more active and get out and do things for my job, where my last job I was cooped up inside a data center for 12…
My backpack that I have on me every day for work, besides my laptop and work stuff, I have a pocket with a Leatherman multitool, firesteel, mini mag light, mini bic lighter, small plastic bag with ibuprofen, benedryl, small bottle of contact solution, and some bandaids. It would probably be a good idea for me to add a…
We use these in our data center. In case we need to use these, no mess will be left behind and no powder to clean up or get sucked into server fans.
Saw this on failblog a few weeks back. Sounds like BS to me!
Maserati Quatroporte, Audi R8, and 458 Italia. So hot I freak out when I see these unobtainable (by my income) cars.
