My initial thought would be that this is a behemoth of a company. There are tens and hundreds of people working on a single project. They don't all "come into the office" to add their contribution. Internal servers are not feasible when you have people all over the globe working on a project.

So, if the kids can be strapped with the medical bills but not the VISA bill, then it appears all medical bills should be paid with a credit card before mom and dad pass away.
