So, I went to Giphy for an appropriate gif that could convey my distain for this little shit, but then I saw this and now I’m over here drooling.

I’m glad that for once, the male lead is 5 years YOUNGER than the female lead. This movie looks ridiculous but I will support it and go see it. Constance Wu is a gem. 

Selena Tan and Tan Kheng Hua are both incredible Singaporean actresses! So glad that our local talent will be seen by the world. The theatre scene here is small but vibrant and it's a treat to get to see them on stage regularly.

It depends on the contract. Usually there is a special rider attached to contracts specifying what type of nudity is required. If memory serves Lost was not an overtly salacious show. She’s still a human being entitled to her rights. Don’t be gross and condescending.

Full disclosure: I’m Black with an Asian immigrant husband. All my female in-laws are looking forward to this movie precisely because it isn’t The Joy Luck Club. Asians live a full range of lives and lifestyles and we want to see frothy fun for a change.

Better Luck Tomorrow keeps coming up in my head, but I guess it wasn’t considered “mainstream” enough? Being Asian American, it was a pretty big deal among my friends, though I think we’re still a little torn about the actual plot.

Having read the books, Crazy Rich Asians is essentially an adult version of Gossip Girl. I’m not saying that disparage the series or the movie, because  sometimes you just need to read and watch something light and fun, but if Gossip Girl-esque media is not your cup of tea, then you wouldn’t enjoy it.
