Hilariously, in the 70's, Evangelical Christians were generally on the pro-choice side of the issue. It's amazing how quickly we forget, and amazing how easily ideology can be radically changed (while people insist that's the way it's always been).

I actually run a pro-choice group in a very conservative little enclave of CA and got so frustrated about the round and round of "PLAN B IS ABORTION!!!!" that I made this graphic. To my astonishment, it was shared thousands of times on FB and Tumblr. Apparently, lots of people were equally frustrated.

Plan B is primarily a contraceptive - meaning it's purpose is to prevent conception. Plan B rarely if ever prevents implantation after conception.

If you don't want to provide certain types of medical care to people, then don't provide medical care at all. If you don't want to be put in that situation, then don't put yourself in that situation.

Makes perfect sense, right? Let's take the most vulnerable and punish them for wanting a better life and getting raped along the way. Fuck, this pisses me off.

I also find it ironic that those who politically support this will also be the same ones complaining about "anchor babies".

Correct! And let's not forget that over 50% of fertilized eggs naturally don't implant anyway, so it's kinda impossible to tell whether or not whore pills are to blame.

That is a broke-down wig.

I was just reading up on Hilary Clinton's view on abortion and unless they have changed since 2008, i am not too keen on it. To me the line keep abortion safe and rare and how she kept on going on about "how abortion represents a sad, even tragic choice to many, many women" (that is true but also for a lot of women it

I'd always heard clam bake. I just figured we could do better.

taco truck?

I would read a book. Endless books.... About salacious topics like feminism and sex.

WHO EVEN KNOWS!? WHO KNOWS!? WHORE STUFF

BAREFOOTED HEATHEN

By the photograph, I think this is intended to be salacious rather than informative. The "available from your doctor" was a pretense to get around pornography laws.

And to this day, FOX News has a twice-weekly panic feature about "coeds" and "hook up culture."
