It’s okay to stop being surprised that the movies don’t match the comics, especially after they completely mutilated the Infinity Gauntlet story.

She’s proven she’s a great actor, the Jane Foster role in those movies wasn’t exactly fleshed out by the writers.  Besides, the Jane-Takes-the-Hammer storyline in the comics was one of my favorite Thor stories ever, maybe one of my favorite marvel stories period.

There’s the Goldman solution: sue the perp in civil court so that any money he makes from the crime goes right to the victim (or victim’s family). Not sure who that would be in that case, but fingers crossed that’s an option for the families of the officers killed by members of the self-styled “law and order” party.
