Yeah he’s eyeing 2024, and he’s got a far bigger electoral hill to climb in Pennsylvania than in Texas. 

I don’t get the assertion that he’s dumb, at least not based on this statement. Sure it’s *wrong* in a few ways, but for an ambitious republican 2024 hopeful, it seems like a smart move. Folks looking for Trump 2.0 eat this shit up, and Pennsylvania is still a swing state.

I think he understands politics.  I think this statement, while pure bullshit, will go over well with the people who will be looking for Trump 2.0 in four years.
