I would LOVE for him to be the ultimate big bad this season, it would certainly would fit nicely into the teritory set up by Big Finish’s “He Jests at Scars”. A Vaylard that’s screwed up time so much he’s caused alternate regenerations to come into being.
There is also the canon Valeyard who was supposed to be a evil doctor between 12 and 13 we never saw. Also the 4th doctor saw dozens of faces all supposedly of him in all his many many regenerations but the 13 and done thing took hold and they only in recent years played with the fact that it wasn’t as set in stone as…
I missed that. I was confused why regenerations didn’t seem to be a factor in her death.
Yeah, supposedly the old series was going to reveal the Doctor was the reincarnation of one of the founders of Gallifrey, but the series was cancelled (or the showrunner was let go, I forget which) before they could do it.
Wasn’t there a non-canon Doctor called “the Other?” (May need to change that name though.)
I like that distinction and hope it becomes something. I can’t remember all the twists and turns of the Lords vs. the plebes, but I vaguely remember (or maybe it’s Takis? The Wild Card planet, not the chips) that there was a class/power distinction. A bunch of cheesed off aliens who had their planet torched because of…
Oh, I’m sorry, did my mild reply hurt your feelings?
Don’t worry. You didn’t recall it because that was book only and the person to whom your talking doesn’t seem to care to distinguish the two.
I think Dorne stayed independent because the desert was so hostile to land forces due to the lack of water and the sun, plus the ability of Dornish people to melt into the sandy wastelands.
I think both horns were red herrings in the book. I think the Dragon Binder horn will be just a normal horn, and the user will be immediately gobbled up by a dragon. And the user of the other horn will think it’s dragon binder, but it will actually bring the wall down.
He said that was only step one. Step two involves applying a paste.
Lord Commander Mormont was killed at Craster’s Keep, not the Fist of the First Men. That was where they encountered the wight army. He was killed by his men later after falling back to Craster’s Keep on the way home to Castle Black.
So was anyone else super disappointed that mad scientist Qyburn’s super secret dragon killing weapon was a freakin’ ballista? I was really expecting some awesome alchemy mumbo jumbo. Ignoring the logistics of hitting a dragon in flight with a ballista (I really hope he’s planning to make a lot more than one of them),…
As much as I’d love more of Bill, I think that a) her story has reached a satisfying conclusion and b) I’d rather the 13th Doctor makes a fresh start so we don’t get any “but you used to be a guy!?” scenes. I’d rather the show handles it by accepting it as a fact and moving on with it.
Gatiss will be playing the same role he always plays.
It leads to the Doctor rebooting the universe so the next series is David Bradley as the First Doctor all over again.
There’s no way they don’t do it. Jeffrey Dean Morgan will totally come back to play Batman.
I definitely don’t remember any animated versions either. Very bold choice
I’m not saying it was particularly good. Only that it has been done very recently. If they bring in the Thomas Wayne as Batman storyline, that would make the movie much more intriguing.
