I’m torn. On the one hand, I want him to have the opportunity to do some good. On the other hand, people should never be allowed to forget the impact of their words and actions.

Yeah, lupus can kill you. I try to tell people that and get “nah, whatever”
Organ transplants, the only time when re-gifting is universally acclaimed.
I truly hope so. Lupus sucks and people have been absolutely vile about her struggles.
Bet the people who asserted that “lupus” was SG’s PR shorthand for “drug rehab” feel like shit now!
Lupus can get way worse. I’m really just impressed that a teenager, who goes on tour and performs so often, can do it all while dealing with lupus and a bum kidney.
Yeah, warning shots as a concept are dumb as fuck, but a warning shot in the stomach!?! Unless you’re some mafia goon deliberately assaulting someone instead of outright killing them, how the fuck is that a warning?
He did survive, thankfully. And yeah, terrible name, but terrible person, so fitting.
Also, a warning shot to the abdomen is just shitty aim. Hope the man pulled through (off to read more and find out if I should feel bad for joking or not). Also also...I don’t think people are making enough out of that whole “Quackenbush” thing.
In Nashville and have been following this. The dad of said thug has been talking like he was there (he wasn’t) and has given the local newspaper pictures of her, all with her child in a feeble attempt to show that she’s a loving mom. Bitch got out of her car and shot a homeless dude twice in the stomach. She claims it…
Yeah, that girl is pretty much what ‘no respect for other people’ looks like in my nightmares.
How could it have gone better? When the mom started breaking down after the very first question the interviewer should have said “it sounds like you and your family have been through a terrible ordeal - we’re so glad you made it here safely and I’m sure you’d like to get your kids dry and fed. Thank you so much for…
Ugh, I hate to say this, but it seemed that she initially consented to do the interview then a switch went off. The reporter was just trying to do her job, poorly, but still trying. There are people that like to pretend everything is dandy in the world & it’s the media’s job to highlight this stuff, and just maybe…
Not really. People just assumed as usual. And then when the pics started coming back showing some parts of the church that are (supposedly) flooded, a lot of those same people went silent.
I’m not sure what facts people were missing when they jumped on the twitter bandwagon. It seems that Osteen decided to take action after he started getting shamed on twitter, he even went as far as to block those calling him out and prayed this will go away. If this was something in the works for sometime then they…
It’s true. I think the lot of these megachurch pastors live way, way,WAY too big to set a good example to their “flocks”, but at least he’s not living big via pushing a highly corrosive brand of religion or outright fraud.
In the grand scheme of mega church celebrity pastors Osteen is, relatively speaking, less awful than some.
This was another instance of everyone jumping on the Twitter bandwagon without knowing all the facts. Wasnt surprised at all. If its just the parking garage that flooded though, open the church.
Just need to remember this the next time a conservative says religious organizations and churches will take care of the sick and needy, so we don’t need any social welfare programs.
