I thought Blue Ivy’s puffy afro was very cute. Sometimes Black people can be too harsh on each other. Some of us don’t see the beauty in African-textured hair. Blue’s hair seemed to become more socially acceptable to some when she had hair extentions in it.

I don’t see how his comment was considered antisemitic. Where did he say Jews killed Jesus? Jesus was Jewish. People always are looking for a “gotcha” moment with a celebrity. I’m thankful to Jesus that Jamie’s recovery is going well.

A drunk man speaks with a sober mind. He’s a mean, self-hating man. Being an alcoholic has nothing to do with it. It’s been proven that dark-skinned women get more servere sentences in the criminal justice system. I only can imagine how they will be treat by him in the courts.

Great commentary.  I personally enjoy Annie Leibowitz’s work, but as Maiysha Kai points out it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.  I remember her great cover of Diana Ross on Vanity Fair.  It’s one of the few times I actually bought the magazine. 

Great editorial. I agree that Clinton’s Stokely Carmichael comment was inappropriate at John Lewis’s funeral. No need to tear one person down to build another person up. If he wants to compare Carmichael’s and Lewis’s leadership of SNCC he should do that at a college lecture or in a PBS documentary.
