the confusion comes in when ethnicity is conflated with race. race is a construct; ethnicity (or culture) is not. the white race is an umbrella of supremacy that includes all white-appearing ethnicities while the black race consists of those who live or whose ancestors were taken from the sub-saharan african continent.
