But again, I don’t recall Jimmy’s friends being upset with NASA over the lost jobs — their issue was with the Moon incident coverup, and as another poster noted, they never really explained what they thought that was and why it angered them so much.

Let’s start with the season as a whole: Meh.

I wanted to punch this episode in the face. I can’t figure who was more insulted by it, the viewers or the characters. The Mars rescue plot basically ripped off the Martian, the Ellen coming out story-line felt so cheesy and tacked on and then there was the whole plot to blow-up NASA, which bordered on the comical

The bombing was well founded but it was horribly executed because they only showed the surface level of the collapse of the oil/gas industry. They actually needed to show it instead of talk about it for the bombing to make sense.

That’s an interesting point. Seeing him making sacrifices or dealing with the actual repercussions of his “flyboy” attitude while being thrust into a leadership role he isn’t prepared for. It would’ve given him much more.

Whelp, as predicted we got our drama filled finale, and hey, I even got a couple of things right.

As a long time fan of the Conan character, particularly the Roy Thomas comic books, the films tend to screw up his origin. In both the Arnold and Momoa films, Conan is living a bucolic life of splendour in his untouched Cimmerian paradise until EVIL invades and destroys his family and village. Something similar

Gotta love how Batgirl was canned to “protect the DC brand” when Ezra Miller has done more damage, especially to the Flash, than the Batgirl movie would ever do.

Zaslav played a big role in turning the Discovery Channel and TLC from educational channels into trashy networks that air mostly cheap exploitative shows, pseudoscience BS, and nutjobs peddling conspiracies about aliens and doomsday prophecies. So I would question his definition of “quality.”

Sam Elliott could work in the Sam Elliott role...

I don’t disagree about... anything you said. Raised by Wolves was still well received by fans and critics though, and had the 3rd season written and greenlighted before Zaslav put the axe to it.

I love MCU stuff and have been drinking up the increased output. But I’d side with labor over my own mother (not a huge problem, she’s a real jerk) and I’m absolutely in favor of paying these pals more to do a lot less. If that means we only get one movie and one TV show a year, and Secret Wars comes along in 2038

My heart goes out to those people.  60 hour is well beyond acceptable for any job.

This is really just confirming what a bunch of people have already figured out. Marvel relies too much on CGI work that is done by overworked and underpaid artists and hasn’t been properly integrated into the rest of the movie. It shouldn’t be the understaffed VFX team’s responsibility to restructure the third act at

Pretty sure John Oliver is safe only because he’s on HBO proper

She’s gotta be the new Black Panther, right?

Fun fact: 100% of articles that begin with the words “We need to talk” are guaranteed to be about something we absolutely do not need to talk about.

That’s ok. I’d rather spend time lauding genuinely great performances from great actors.

Yes, she looks great for her age with a professional makeup artist, and she’s a great, underappreciated actress that has accomplished much in spite of Gigli and having ghost singers perform in her place while being credited as backup singers. But I can’t really put out of my mind how she’s historically been an elitist

She’s worth $400 million.  We are out here starving and inflation shows no signs of slowing down.  How much more recognition do rich and famous powerful celebrities need exactly?
