Sudeikis was really good on Last Man on Earth
Sudeikis was really good on Last Man on Earth
Been listening a lot to the “You Must Remember This” podcast and I’m struck by something.
I think it was a lot better when studios employed shady fixers to keep all this shit out of the papers.
We just are not meant to have this much access to these people’s thoughts.
Jesus Chris I wish there was an option on this site to just ignore certain writers.
Same author, same day:
The writing on this site has been on a steady decline for years. For some reason, they think snark is a replacement for good writing.
So just to be clear: we're supposed to hate Jason Sudeikis because of a report from a former nanny that both he and Olivia Wilde denied was true, and also because a process server did their job? Even for present-day AV Club, this is a shockingly bad take.
Seems like the kind of BS story that people tell after all the producers die because special effects don’t work like that, especially back then. Everything has to be planned, choreographed, blocked, lit, and done in a specific way that had been agreed to, months or years previous, so Harryhausen could match it with…
“We can’t find Hayden! She doesn’t have an agent! How will we ever find her now?”
Find the cheerleader’s agent, save the world!
Think about the last time you yelled at someone, for anything. You have done so, certainly — no one is an angel. But I bet if you told me the story about the time you yelled, you’d offer me lots of context as to *why* you did the yelling, and you may even tell me that you subsequently apologized and never did that…

Everyone sucks.
THANK YOU she was fucking terrible in Mandalorian, it’s mind-boggling that anybody wanted her to lead a series.
i know she’s a Bad Person, but we don’t talk enough about how, almost more importantly, she’s a Bad Actress. i’m so fucking glad i don’t have to see her in star wars anymore.
The delicious irony that even after getting in bed with right wing detritus, her new audience still thinks her too “woke” for their blood.
It looks finished and we have to wait a whole year to watch it. Ugh.
I mean...they really should have recast. Not to mention that in the credits tag it’s like “she’s not even the queen of Wakanda”
aka Dumb Girl
They gave Tennant’s Doctor and Tate’s Donna, two of the most beloved characters in all of Doctor Who, one of the most tragic endings.
Normally I would be inclined to think this was mere fanservice (and it is undoubtedly that), but they set this up so long ago that I can’t help but be excited. Doctor Who is the rare show that can pay off an unresolved story thread from nearly fifteen years ago, which is not even particularly long in the full scope of…
