she makes real good music that’s very innovative. her style is absolutely singular.

that said, she’s definitely an acquired taste. some people really can’t stand her voice.

She’s written consistently haunting and beautiful music for nearly fifty years. Stunning voice, talented musician, composer, and dancer.

I agree. I also think it’s a little much to treat this as such a traumatic event. The studio cast you in a movie that will launch you to stardom, and they’d like you to dress a certain way for the promotional activities.
