Not only are they like Guardians of the Galaxy in that they’re not well-known to the general public (although they were in a terrible cartoon in the 21st century and showed up in better shows periodically), but the original Guardians of the Galaxy were created in an attempt to knock off the LSH.

Trying to knock off one

There was a children’s animated Legion of Super-Heroes series from a while ago. It wasn’t half-bad.

Agreed 100%. The Grand Budapest Hotel this was not... Not even close.

From this list, I saw only Summer of Soul and The French Dispatch (I’m sure I’m forgetting some but I can only think of a half-dozen new releases that I saw that aren’t on this list: Dune, King Richard, The Many Saints of Newark, The Guilty, Luca, Barb and Star..., ; I assume I’ll see most in the first few months next

Give ‘em a break. AV Club copy editors are all on holiday break...for the past three years.

that led to him not sleeping for a whole awake for a week”

Dick Cavett was making Chris Noth jokes during the great depression!

If he was fired, I assume the folks from Bob’s Burgers might have zero ‘concrete, legally admissible’ evidence, but might know from actually KNOWING the guy, that he was there. Presumably, he’s always been a right-winger, but maybe he has gotten ever more obnoxious in the last 5-6 years. Maybe they’re just sick of his

Sigh. Another easily won game of “guess what state the guy is from”.

Caught the French Dispatch a couple of weeks ago on a Tuesday afternoon with a total of 3 other people in the theater. Might be a while until I can enjoy similar conditions with Spider-Man, but on the other hand it’s not as if there are a dearth of showings.

I’ve been going to the theater again since late summer but mostly because I only go to early afternoon showings when almost nobody is in the theater or it's empty enough that nobody is immediately next to me and even then most people wear masks during the movie. I really want to see Spider-Man but I can only go during

The worst part in the rise of the “streaming wars” has been that the amount of content has become more important than anything.

The richest man in the world does not own a house and has recently been selling off his fortune.

You have crystallized my thoughts.  This is perfect.  I just tire of this nonsense so much.  Thank you.

It’s kind of sweet, in a sticking up for your friends sort of way—even if we’re not wholly convinced that wealthy, well-connected Emmy winners necessarily need such a full-throated defense at the moment”

Reading the comments for this show, it sure seems a lot of the people who hate this show and think it’s terrible keep tuning in to watch.

Exactly, the way they just immediately forgot about the dead guy was astonishing. Adira even said after they landed safely “I’m glad I came!” Followed by Michael and Tilly giggling about the whole misadventure in Tilly’s room after.

Someone pen a memo to Star Fleet stat:

On the Cronenberg front, there was an interview about last season where he essentially says he took the roll on Disco because he was local to the area, had no other projects at the time, and came cheap. I don’t believe he professed any particular love for Star Trek beyond enjoying TOS back in the day.
