Yes it's free. They even send you free shipping labels. They do charge you $19 if you want to get a refurb phone back instead of the one you have sent them. I think that's worth it but I didn't choose that option.

So after talking to you, I was driven with a new sense of motivation to get the issue fixed and the camera replaced and today I got the phone back from HTC and MY GOD. The camera is 10000x better. I can't believe I lived with it for so long.

Textra is different in that it is a complete messaging app. For those who like specific messaging apps, it seems like this is a better solution as it is ANOTHER app that deals with just this one issue so you can go on using your existing messaging apps for all other things

To be fair to the FCC, they blocked the At&t/t-mo merger AND they are a huge entity so it's unfair to pretend like this release of spectrum is at all taking away from the resources they can and are committing to the Comcast merger with TWC and overall issue of net-neutrality.

Well HTC One on At&t already has Android 4.4.2 with sense 5.5. I would imagine (and hope) sense 6.0 will be pushed to the previous model.
