She wasn't being lazy, she had a doctors appointment in the middle of the day so she couldn't work a 6 hour shift.

In reality there would be a combination of factors and not one root cause; both those reasons and more probably motivated her. Either way it was relevant context and not an afterthought.

So does that mean what we saw on the show was a wig? Or that they decided to cut her real hair after seeing her in the wig? Either way if it was initially supposed to be a wig that seems like all the more reason to go with a more dramatic cut than they did.

She is the one who knocks.

Giving her a slow motion perp walk was the opposite of ignoring her story! It was too big to cram into a finale, especially if they wanted to end on a slow pan of her face through the window of her SHU cell. Definitely a sign that this will be a major arc in season 4.

I keep wanting to call her Ruby Woo after the MAC lipstick. The "catnip" definitely worked from the promo photos but her babeliness was really wasted on Piper. Since she showed up after Nicky faded away I thought she was meant to fill that void but she ended up having nothing going on. I want to believe it's not her

What they did with Stella was boring, she never had a chance because she only got to interact with Piper. Her character may have been good if she'd actually had anything to do.

I couldn't help wondering why she cut it into what ended up being a very stylish looking inverted bob. I guess it was for the sake of not wanting the character to have to wear a wig before or after the attack, but if you were really gonna go down that road you'd probably cut above the shoulders and unevenly, "I Know

Can't say I was mad about the D&G flashback boyfriend. Even if that hadn't been my favorite episode of the season I'd be revisiting it just for Nathan. I have to assume that casting choice was intentional even though it was over the top. The soda-for-sex guy was so well cast that it's not like they didn't understand

It's gotta be personal preference, if she needed straight hair for a role they would have just straightened it with a flat iron, not permanently relaxed her hair. I can't see a character driven reason unless they'd worked it in as a post-Vee change since Vee is the one who encouraged her to start wearing the twists,

Nah, she had never met the guy she went there to see. He was just the leader of the crew and she wanted in; it was implied that someone told her this was the guy to talk to if you wanted to get in the game. He just happened to recognize her from being a local track star.

The moves she used on Tucky were given to her play-by-play from the black girls when she confided in them that she wouldn't know how to fight Tucky and that she should find another way to resolve the situation. If they hadn't coached her she'd be dead.

None of that counters what I already said. She was insecure about boys not being attracted to her, but that's not an explanation of why she went out looking to become a drug dealer or thief or whatever that crowd was into. She did that because she needed money, and other issues surfaced while she was there. If it was

Most of that wasn't intentional. She was pushed into fighting Tucky and was tortured by it afterwards, I seriously doubt she would go out looking to fight anyone or intend to use a weapon for anything but self defense. She also didn't know Tucky would end up in psych when she sent her into that bathroom and she fought

She could have just put cigarettes, the lighter, etc in her bunk and gotten her sentence extended, maybe have her sent to SHU for a while. Setting her up to go to Max as a violent criminal by planting multiple shivs isn't befitting of stealing money, and she doesn't belong there. It's annoying that Piper cares more

The initial argument was never clear. What boy was she impressing? Her first move down the wrong path was to go to that party full of people she'd never met, presumably to try to get in on whatever illegal operation they had going on. There was no explanation for why she went there in the first place given in that

I only remember seeing her using some styling product to set her twists while talking to Poussey about the Time Hump Chronicles, and that was after her hair was already straight. Not sure if you don't know what a relaxer is (no offense if you do!) or if there was another scene I missed earlier on. I'd be surprised to

I can't really be the only one who cares that Suzanne seemingly got a relaxer or started straightening her hair midway through the season? Those twists went from being short and fat to long and skinny real fast. Is that the kind of thing I'd have to go to tumblr to see people riled up over?

Did you miss the part where it was supposed to be a load of crap and not an actual miracle?

It's no coincidence that a group of prisoners would all find moments of peace when given a taste of freedom and access to a lake to swim in after being locked up for months or years. I'm sure every person out there had some level of epiphany. You're thinking of it as a plot device and not considering how big a moment
