The photo thing can be a pain in the ass. Most people these days don’t want to waste their 30 min lunch brakes to go to CVS to get a shitty passport photo, and then spend more cash to get a passport. Especially if they have no plans to travel internationally in the next 10 years.

Um, I’m solid middle to upper middle class and I don’t have a passport. Not being able to afford a trip out of the country doesn’t make you poor.
