I am a fan of Toyota 4x4s, but one thing I just can’t understand about Toyota’s “American” trucks (Tacoma and Tundra) is why they keep insisting on using C-Channel frames, instead of Fully Boxed frames, like the competition.

Jeremy Clarkson likened the rear end of the CrossFire, to a dog dropping a poop. He was spot on!

How is the Grand Cherokee NOT car-based? If it were Truck-Based, it would have a frame (As all Trucks do) instead of being Unibody. It would also have a Truck Engine, that is shared in other trucks, instead of an engine that can be found in Mini-Vans, and other CUVs, like the Durango.

Lets leave the Grand Cherokee out of it, it is what it is, a luxury car-based "SUV". What bothers me is that the Renegade and Cherokee, are marked as some "AMAZING Off-Road machine" that can "Tackle The Rubicon" stock. Yea they can drive through parts of it, but can run through the entire thing without getting stuck

What?!? No Lift Kits for the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Renegade, or any of the other Jeeps CUVs? Oh yea, that's right, those Fiat derivatives can't be lifted without completely re-engineering the suspension. They may have a sticker that says they can offroad, but sadly, they lack camber adjustment.

The only thing more unreliable then a VW....is a AWD VW....

The 2016 Titan is very important to the US Market, as it will show if there is demand for small(er) trucks with diesel engines, and if it goes well, the Frontier with the 2.8l diesel may be released, which could open the flood gates of having smallish diesels in Midsize Trucks.

Ford F750s have Cummins engines, and so do Dodges. Some American trucks even have Japanese engines in them! The new Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500 diesel engines are made by an Italian Company (VM Motori). This is nothing new...

First Nissan beats the Bejesus out of the 2016 Titan with an Ugly Stick! Then they just beat the Bejesus out of it!

The best part of any Fast and Furious movie is when you leave the theater and get out to the parking lot, and everyone is revving up their riced out Civics with Fart Cans, and doing Front Wheel Burnouts!

The secret to stealth is giving a 737 a Prolapsed Anus.

There is low demand for small trucks in the US, because there are NO GOOD small trucks in the US....The best we have is a Tacoma, which is bloated, has a Decade Old drivetrain, C-Channel Frame, and plastic bed...

All of that, plus the reliability of a Jeep/Chrysler/Fiat! I am sure the 9-Speed ZF transmission will be great for driving around Suburban Neighborhoods!

Plenty capable, if you don't mind bent unibodys....

UNIBODY.
All UNIBODY SUVs should be re-classified as CUVs.

And only 5% know how to drive a stick, change a flat, or change their oil.
