The culture of “We Want To Tell Everyone Else What To Do Because We Think We Can”.

Jesus, this attitude is beyond tiring. Braids were traditional Slovak hair style for both men and women in Slovakia at least since Middle Ages. I guess I should jump on the band wagon, and claim that only Slovaks can wear these.

Is Lil Wayne the one who keeps having seizures from drinking too much "lean?"

There’s a long history of fabrics being worn in hair in Europe that goes back at least to the 17th century. Threads and string were woven into hair in China from the 14th century.

What culture would that be?

Yarn braids is raver and or goth. I think it’s (well dated), but for some it’s creative. It’s impossible to get uv reactive hair to truly last and usually plastic and decorations get added to the additional volume and mass. I don’t think this falls under cultural appropriation since it’s creative and part of a scene

All you have to do is remove the damaged bits and leave the rest intact. I do it all the time, turns out awesome.

The tip about not washing grains, is not so good for rice if you are using a rice cooker. The rice itself will come out just fine whether or not you rinse it, but you’ll have much more of a mess to clean up as unrinsed white rice foams up quite a bit and that foam tends to shoot out the vent hole and cover everything

I don’t know if this falls in the same category but what about the amount of salt a recipe contains. I heard that most recipes reduce the salt to make them suitable for all palates and that you can add a pinch or two more if you like. I’ve tried this and it seems to help. I don’t go over board with the sodium but is

Heartily disagree. Mashed potatoes are made even better with the skins left on.

Or, better yet, leave the skin on when you boil them and then use a ricer, which won’t let the skins through. They also make “objectively” better mashed potatoes.

Some say opinions can never be wrong. They are wrong. This is wrong. Skins are the best.

I wish I was better at using my senses when cooking (ie. being able to press the top of a steak or a cake and have a good idea of its doneness, or see by the glossy texture of a sauce that it’s cooked properly) rather than focusing on achieving a certain exact temperature or a precise mix of say flour and water.

Created a burner account to comment here as I generally don’t comment anywhere and I’m not much of a writer so bear with me please.
