If you have money its actually possible to rent a place that’s not a shithole or have to share it with sketchy roommates.

Couldn’t agree more. The right answer to “rent or buy” is “it depends.” Do the math, think about your needs, and make the right decision FOR YOU.

Your lifestyle also plays a role. Are you a person who likes to be in the outdoors on the weekends doing the normal home maintenance such as cutting grass, working on the landscaping, possibly painting, fixing and all the other outside things one needs to do with a house? Or would you rather an apartment where that

Good stuff. As I always say, it’s a lifestyle choice, not a financial one. I like having my own property, making my own decisions, not having to deal with landlords, etc. But I certainly understand the decision to rent, if you don’t want the responsibility of owning and don’t really care about all the things I see as

I was surprised about Fergus explicitly saying he was not a whore. I wonder about how they will handle some important (book) scenes coming up then.

It would be sad if they dropped Fergus or made him an ancillary character. They could be waiting when he gets older for the viewers to know more about him. With the quicker pacing of the TV series, I don’t know if they have enough time to focus on Fergus’ growing attachment to Jamie. It wouldn’t have made sense in

Honestly? I don’t remember. I just recall the character, and don’t know all the little plots. I think it will at least get a third season. I thought it was doing pretty well in ratings, but I don’t really follow that.

TV/movie will never be exactly like the book. I’m just not a huge fan of the Outlander novels. I’ve

Every photo I see from this season makes me think “Ow, my boobs!”

I saw an interview where the leads talked about having to go head to head with the writers about choices their characters would make and that the writers (DG herself, I imagine) wanted a sex scene in the very first season 2 episode. I’m so proud of them for standing their ground. As a viewer it’s frustrating because

There must have been a time jump (or I’m just not very observant). I could have sworn that we didn’t see much of Claire’s pregnant belly last episode, but it is very evident this episode.

We get to meet Fergus! I absolutely adored Jamie admiring his pickpocketing skills while the others are staring at the weirdly

In one of the documentary pieces, Ronald Moore explains that they ditched that long recovery narrative at the abbey to speed up the storytelling and they decided to stretch out Jamie’s emotional recovery over their time in Paris instead. Which honestly I think is more realistic.

Also not to be all “in the book” about it, but what happens w/ Mary Hawkins is much more interesting than her just marrying the actual demon.

The costumer is having a gay ole’ time fucking with us a bit. I don’t blame her, it’s a good and recognizable to modern eyes 20th century reference that loops back beautifully to Christian Dior’s original 18th century reference.

I require these weekly updates because I downgraded my cable and I only get to actually watch when Starz has its free weekends. These blurbs sustain me in the meantime, so thank you!
