You should look up the definition of "similar."

Sixty three in a 45 will get anyone stopped, regardless of color, every single time. Nice try, though.

This is what I don’t get. Max is one of the most aggressive drivers around. He’s yelling if he’s not screaming and throws his car around like a battle axe. It is serving him well this season, but this was just one small case where a driver didn’t duck out of his way and it didn’t go his way. A split second or a couple

Pretty hard to crash into someone without takin yourself out of the race/sustain race determining damage too...

Lewis has been giving Max plenty of room in other races this year. Max (and company) was pissed that Lewis stopped giving him space.

What I am saying, is that comparing the vitriol between the Senna and Prost collisions to a mid season racing incident that does not decide the world championship is not fair.

Was it worst during the Senna and Prost years? Yes.

Prost and Senna were actively crashing into each other and where taking each other out, at certain points of the season, which would seal a world championship.

yah that and Helmut saying race ban sort of undermine the message.

He’s right.

I agree that its a racing incident, but one thing to note that is not often considered, the chopping that Max was planning to do was dangerous in itself as it would have suddenly cut off Hamilton’s downforce in one of the fastest corners on the track and triggered him to hit his breaks and likely take Max out with

No, they won’t. Otherwise they’d have asterisks by Schumacher and others as well.

I read it.

Do auto dealers have a duty to not sell vehicles to someone who may potentially drive drunk?  Seems like reaching here. I have a feeling if this made it to the Supreme Court it might get slapped down.

They should be, they willingly built a road knowing people were going to drive drunk on it! This is the same line of thinking as the gas station.

Can the state be culpable for providing the highway on which  the accident occurred?

I agree fully with the dissenting judge. This isn’t setting up a slippery slope, it’s just dumping liability on anyone lawyers can think of, which is pretty much everyone.

What is amusing is that Max’s many little adventures in passing attempts in the past that have resulted in a variety of broken machines of various brands and his sad little apologies for being aggressive are now considered ‘blips’ in many minds now. Because he’s suddenly having a breakout season, all is forgiven for

I loved it. Lewis finally gave Max all the respect that Max gives everyone else, Max gets burned, Lewis celebrates, the fans there go wild, the internet is on fire. The only reason this hasn’t happened many times over already is because everyone knows Max will wreck them. The entire beginning of that lap Max is all

I thought it was a racing incident and am glad that Verstappen is ok, but this episode has been blown up out of all proportion simply because it was Hamilton and Verstappen and not Latifi with Sonoda (for example). The moaning and crying from Red Bull is pathetic, if Hamilton had spun off then they would laud

I think the real reason we are talking about this is that contact happened at 186 mph going into that corner. We all know that there have been similar contact scenarios where both cars went off. Anywhere else at lower speeds that “rubbing is racing” isn’t even an issue.
