Even at 165 minutes, having read (and loved!) the script when it leaked in 2011, I found myself missing the (mostly-dialogue) scenes that were cut. The racist southerners can't help but be less compelling than the uncomfortably likable Nazi characters in BASTERDS. Still, it's a great (relatively) straight adventure…
