I have no idea why she watched it. Maybe because it was made by a local filmmaker. Also her church was in a scene.
Thing is, you are right. She might of looked at the poster. Perhaps read the summary.
What I find most odd is the fact she watched it TWICE!
I find no logic in her decision.

A friend of my family watched Proxy. I liked it but heard she was highly offended.
