@la.donna.pietra: That spiney/wingy/rotating/crazy thing looks like seeing it IRL it would melt my brain. I'm SO excited.

I just need to geek out wildly about something.

@malishka: in NYC? I could get a very nice coffin. ;)

@malishka: Pay off my $20K in student debt, go on a small, controlled $1000 shopping spree, and ask my genius mom how to turn the rest into down payment on an apartment and some savings.

Dodai, don't pawn Casanova off on us. We don't want him!

@SuberJ: That was -awesome-. Austin was the absolute best.

LOVE this story. And as for the Converse Kothornoi, I helped make a pair once: you sandwich plywood with wood glue until it's a block the height you want, then trace the outline of the Converse. Then carve away at it with a jig or bandsaw until it's the right shape, and then glue and drill the soles of the Converse

I've gotten Helena Bonham Carter many times. But I'm fat, I just have a razor-sharp jaw. So I'm like LOL MAYBE IF SHE ATE TIM BURTON and then I make it awkward. Just...always awkward.

Methinks Mariah is getting all Princess Frostine on us.

I came here ready to snark and then I saw the big tall bookcase with a rolling ladder and, oh wait, here I am gnawing on my liver in sad, sad envy.

I thought you had to officially register your skirt length, inversely corresponding to number of partners?!?

@howdini: I came here to say this.

Now I just want to push her in a vat of brown dye for her own good...

@PrisonBreakShaker: I'm more worried about people saying, "See, it's impossible to stay afloat paying folks a living wage in the US!" than defending Dov's business practices. Which are shaaaaady.

@mr_bannana: True, but AA was doing just fine before Dov got it into his little head to open up a bunch of expensive brick-and-mortar stores and try to be A Fashion (Romper) Brand.

I really hope the spectacular failure of AA isn't going to be held up as an example of why good labor practices aren't profitable or sustainable.

Nice!
