I wondered about that. Does the gov. have to buy the land from them? Can they use eminent domain? Seems like a big can of worms to me.

If I remember, people actually living near the Mexican border tended to think that the wall was stupid idea during the campaign. We’ll see how they feel about it in the coming months.

I don’t really give a shit about the wall either. You know who actually gives a shit? The ranchers who border the rio grande. You can’t build the wall on Mexico’s side of the rio grande, so you have to build it on our side and cut off the rancher’s access to the river. Should be very interesting...

I’m much more concerned about the sanctuary cities than the wall. Yes, the wall is a stupid waste of money and rude, but I don’t see it doing serious damage to the country (I might not know enough about the issue, though).

Awesome. Let me get this right, the Affordable Care Act costs the government about 110 billion a year and GOP considers that way too much, but McCain wants to spend ***an additional*** 86 billion per year on military?

Personally I think the budget should stay the same, but they should have the screws put to them over waste. The military has been operating with basically a blank check for 6-7 decades and it shows. We need to bring back accountability and make sure we the people are getting our money’s worth out of it.
