There's only three real points to be made about this.

The sad thing is that I kinda liked Man of Steel for the first hour or so. It's a little slow, but good.

I know of Thom's general outlook, but he rarely speaks about contemporary political events. He's just reclusive and secretive enough that he could absolutely come out with some absurd stance on something.

It'd have to be someone whose political opinions aren't basically already known to me. Most of the people being listed by others here are staunch liberals, and we already all know that. So having them come out as a hateful dimwit wouldn't make sense.

Holy mother of god did that Bliss segment die a death. Whoever came up with that, and scripted it, should be sacked. And if it was Vince, it's time for an intervention from his family, to get him out of Creative.

Lex also fully divested himself from LexCorp when he ran for President.

It'll settle in lower than 96% (big studios have learned how to game the Rotten Tomatoes system by letting enthusiast publications and websites get their reviews up first - they generally end up 5-10% lower), but I'm beyond pleased that DC finally appears to have made a good one.

I've always been interested in the idea of the "no kill rule" among certain superheroes, and whether it's inherently sort-of selfish. Take the Joker, for example (I like using the Joker, as he's an example of pure, irredeemable chaos) - there is more than one story arc where Batman essentially acknowledges that he

The fact that he chose to put that nitwit potentially a heart-attack away from the Oval Office, should forever disqualify him from being taken seriously. And refusing to say a single bad word about everything she said and did post-election, despite him being the one to unleash her upon the nation.

Know what's a betrayal to "the troops"? Sending them away from their families for months and years, sometimes to die, when it isn't absolutely necessary. Not giving them an extra $60Bn to spend on jets and bombs they don't need.

McCain is the king of the empty statement over actual, "maverick-y" actions. Christ, the guy even ultimately folded like a lawnchair on investigations of American torture, despite having experienced torture firsthand.

Hannity is just doing the classic "retreat while claiming victory" thing. Announce you're going to stop talking about the story because you're just that nice of a guy, then claim that people won't believe the things you're uncovering about the story you're not going to talk about any more.

I want Jinder to drop the belt on Smackdown this week, and I want someone to kick the shit out of Orton after a match so that he's out "injured" for a few months.

Biggest heel heat in the entire match, was when they broke the mop, haha.

I'm shocked that they gave Nakamura a completely standard entrance, after building him up for weeks. And then he and Ziggler go out and have a match that could only be described as "decent".

I was alright with pushing Jinder, but putting the top belt on him already? Fucking seriously? What message does that send to everyone else in that locker room working their ass off? Some guy goes from nothing jobber to WWE Champion in about six weeks, because he can be marketed to a country WWE wants to make

Not even just a woman he knew, but a co-worker. I'd be grossed out if I was her, to hear this after all that time, and in the new context of having heard their prior conversation. At that point he's a willing participant, not just an observer too meek or cowardly to interject.

I don't think that would make you a "goody two shoes" in the slightest. I completely agree with you. And I wish the interviewer would have asked him about it, instead of focusing solely on the conversation that took place on the bus.

That was me openly offering the disclaimer that it's been a long time since I've seen the moment in question, and thus I'm not in a strong position to comment very definitively one way or another on it - aside from offering the boilerplate statement that I don't understand it either.

I'm earnestly trying to understand his behaviour, and subsequent actions, rather than turning it into yet another Manichean conversation where he's just an asshole. If you're doing that too, then you aren't "virtue signaling" - otherwise known as "performative woke-ness".
