I use Evernote for everything so when I need to cook I open the Evernote Food app and it automatically browses to my recipes using the "My Cookbook" feature.

The UI on TiVo actually isn't as bad. I too took about 4 years off from cable. I decided to plug back in and the only way I'm still using it is with TiVo. Sometimes I think I'll cut the cord again, but the serendipity of the live feed of cable is actually kind of fun.

Nice anecdote but research has shown that money is not the best motivator for a disillusioned workforce. It can work in the short term, but there are deeper problems with the work environment if employees are "joyless".
