I live in Oregon so we have quite a bit of space to stretch out and be away from others here when hiking, camping, etc. But I agree that as a general rule of thumb, if there are others within earshot, that’s rude as hell.

Those NYPD officers could have de-escalated simply by backing up and taking a different route.  There was absolutely no reason for them to plow through the crowd, especially the second car that drove into the situation.

For all the things to criticize Snyder for, replacing grass with artificial turf is not one of them. Playing on artificial turf results in more injuries than does natural grass. Grass is always preferred if it is a possibility.

Michael is an asshole, that’s kind of the point. He’s based on a character played originally by Ricky Gervais, who is an asshole and makes all of his characters assholes as well, presumably so he doesn’t have to work too hard between bouts of being an asshole.

He’s supposed to be terrible and also their boss in a corporate structure that made it hard to get wins over him. It was kind of the main point of the show during the first couple of seasons.

Endorsing whoever wins is not an endorsment. It’s a cop out. It makes sense for Obama, but not for pretty much anybody else.

Ah, yes, the representative who has famously gotten the short end of the stick from party leadership in the name of “party unity” was super likely to sit this one out instead of standing up for what she believes.

I am glad, he aligns closest to everything she has done and says she believes. So, cool.
