I just donated $10 to the zoo so I could suggest a name for the baby. I offered Robin Williams as the baby name, boy or girl :/ Not that I in any way knew him, but I think he would've liked that.

There is a very quick moment in Aladdin when Genie smokes. A cigarette!! That would never, ever fly now.
"the #1 tenet of education is that kids also need to read a fucking book once in a while."
That totally makes sense...I will gather info and post to piss off "friends."
I had such high hopes for his 2nd term. I would take actual progressive over this. Blah. :(
Yep. And people are just flat-out assholes to service workers. I put myself through college working fast food & then served while teaching before going to grad school. And people can be terrible. So, could we maybe, maybe pay workers $10/hour? Maybe?
I distracted mine, clicked on the archived birth of Kiko & lied to my children. They now believe they have watched the live birth and are in bed.
I thought something was happening a few minutes ago, so I quickly called the kids over to watch the magic...and she pooped. My 7-year-old is very excited that he watched a giraffe poop live on the computer.

My 2nd baby was healthy-colic & axis reflux, but not at risk. I, on the other hand, has severe postpartum anxiety and was a train wreck. I was convinced that she was going to stop breathing or choke or (fill in the blank). I didn't sleep until we bought an Angel monitor, so this monitor would have been very helpful…
Stop whatever it is you are doing and go rent 10 Things I Hate About You. Right now.
I'm not going to lie-it sucked at the time. But, it really was worth it. My suggestion would be to focus, get a plan together early on with a reasonable exit timeline (after the first semester), make sure your chair is on board, and get done. It's not your life's work, it's your ticket out to do your life's work.
Now that I am on the other side, I can honestly tell you that I have never regretted getting my degree (PhD in education). It gives me the flexibility to do just about whatever I want in my field. It was worth it. Hang in there!
We're all poor compared to Bey & J. And, just for the record, I found grad-school broke harder than undergrad broke. I had a paycheck, then went back to not having a paycheck and being dependent. My friends were no longer in college & I was closer to 30 than 20. Broke and 20 is one thing when all your friends are also…
My hair looks red in my CVS passport pictures. I don't have, nor have I ever had, red hair.
oh, I'm not criticizing you! Promise. I feel terrible that you are getting shit. Poor is poor and it sucks. I was adding some info in case anyone else read it. Sorry :/
I've been grad-school broke & was reliant on my husband's income for the first few years of our marriage. It all worked out just fine, but, damn, we were broke.
Cauterizing the tubes has no effect on your hormone levels. You will keep menstruating as usual, so no symptoms.
I think it is more along the lines of freaking out after one limited study. Not to ignore a medical study, but it needs to be replicated or done with a larger sample size before we can fully generalize the findings. Sometimes a single study can get flukey results. We see this with weight pretty often. I think the…
Nope-cauterizing the tubes just cuts the egg-to-uterus path. Nothing to do with menopause.
